WHY ARE THEY CALLED PATCHWORK RUGS?

This type of rug takes its name from the technique of textile manufacturing based on the joining of pieces of fabric to create new pieces. Although there are different ways of referring to this style in Spanish, the term patchwork is more widely used.

PATCHWORK INSPIRATION VINTAGE RUGS

Traditionally, patchwork has been used to create bedspreads, tablecloths or other textiles for domestic use and now we also find it in rug design, which usually have that vintage air and artisan look that conveys the idea of patching or weaving based on leftovers.
